The City Clerk serves as the link between City Council and citizens as well as between the city employees. The City Clerk is also the record keeper for the city.
The office of City Clerk for the City of Oglethorpe provides clerical, record keeping, and administrative functions to the City Council and the City. The City Clerk is also our Utilities Clerk and manages the day to day operations for that department as well as processes the montly utility billing. In addition, she performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law. The Oglthorpe City Clerk is also the liason with the Water, Sewer, Trash, and Garbage contractors.
